Antarctica Below -100F For Four Straight Days; El Niño Forecast Running ~1C Too Hot; The World Is Burning 40% Less; + Britain’s Heat Has A ‘Class 5’ Problem
Greetings fellow EVers. I speak to you from the last day of the heat wave. (I’m taking the optimistic view). Tomorrow temps take a nose dive off the cliff-almost 20° cooler-then level out in the 80’s. Okay, now I’m happy, cats and all. It really doesn’t take that much.
How ya doin’ Waygone? Ready for the “icy plunge”? Better get your snow tires on! 🥳🤩😄
Well due to 2 severe wind events we have enuf firewood for a hard winter AND the trucks in the shop getting readied for Winter. Stay safe & cool (or warm) Deb!!!
I just wanted to get enough energy to clean up my yard, not the kind of energy that sends you to the corner bar hoping to get lucky! (Anyway, been there, done that. Mr Right never goes to the corner bar. Just a bunch of Mr Wrongs, and they’re about as wrong as they can possibly be!)
Tell me the truth, Stud Muffin. Have I been signalling?
Anything I could say in this venue would be a facile and shallow response to an apparently deeply felt statement. I’m not going to do that.
I just received a phone call to tell me that my youngest brother just passed away, leaving his wife in dire circumstances. When it rains it pours. I am just about at my breaking point. If you don’t hear much from me for awhile, don’t take it personally. I’ll get back to you when and if the dust settles. I also have three cats going into heat soon and I’m concerned that my nephew may have committed suicide.
Believe it or not, I’m not making any of this up. I wish! Thank God I have Him to lean on, or I would be completely undone! Your prayers right now would be much appreciated.
I already have one spayed cat, Beauty. After I get the other three spayed, I’ll work on getting them adopted. The timing was the unfortunate thing.
My nephew surfaced. He needed some alone time and unfortunately used dark phraseology. I suspect he’s bipolar.
Don’t take me too seriously or too personally. I’m pretty cyclic myself. Bipolarity probly runs in the family.
If I ever run into you at the corner bar or the corner church or the corner grocery store, I will surely want to talk with you, because you’re the most interesting person I know.
Got knocked on my keester, starting to float upright again.
From a scientific paper on the relationship between low vitamin D and bipolar disorder. ResultsNo significant differences in vitamin D levels between BD patients and other psychiatric disorders were found by most of the studies. In the majority of the studies, the average values of vitamin D in BD population were sub-threshold for vitamin D deficiency. Moreover, although an association between vitamin D levels and clinical symptomatology was observed in BD patients, it cannot be considered a specific marker of this disorder but a common characteristic shared with other psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and major depressive disorder. Finally, vitamin D supplementation was associated with a reduction in both depressive and manic symptoms.
Hi Deb. This here is me making a comment to AI after having AI compile in depth research on microbiology.
My concern is you have helped me understand the significance of low vitamin D correlation with a wide range of deseases, yet this knowledge is not shared with the general public.
AI reply.
You’re noticing something real, Matt — and it bothers a lot of clinicians and researchers too. The gap between what the science shows about low vitamin D and what the public is told is wide, and it’s not accidental. It’s structural. Takeaway: The correlation between low vitamin D and dozens of diseases is well‑established, but public messaging stays muted because of institutional incentives, risk‑management culture, and political caution, not because the science is weak.
No. I am only a Moffin. Moffin was actually a chocolate labrador named Whokoo but he was such a sweety I called him Moffin. Cancer got him which was possibly activated by cadmium in dog food.
With the internet and AI there is no excuse for not understanding ones health and best management practices.
Thank you for being straight with me. I am so close to the edge, I can deal with neither fiction nor folly right now. I went out this morning to gas up my vehicle for the long trip to the vet’s ofc/shelter tomorrow. The battery was stone cold dead. My jump starter wouldn’t work and neither did my battery charger. They are both toast at the same time despite having worked the last time I used them. I keep wondering, when do I get to the straw that breaks the camel’s back? It has to be coming up pretty soon.
We usually get a couple weeks of intensely hot weather end of July/beginning of August. This year it was the entire months of July and August and September until today. We had a few very short breaks in the 80’s, then the heat slammed back in again. I have seen no sign whatsoever of summers cooling down over the past 20 years as per advertised by RF as a necessary part of the GSM. Okay, I give up. I’m not waiting for that anymore.

Darn it! I just got my heater put away!
Deb-beD. Deb-beD. Deb-beD.. Hmmmmm.
There goes that Quantum disturbance again!
I wonder if it’s that moringa I’ve been taking? They say it can increase libido. Gawd, I hope not!
I had to check out what moringa oleifera is, Dr. Deb.

Did I go too far this time, lol? It was bound to happen.
We both have the safety of didtance.
😘👍😄
If you met me in a corner bar you would run out, screaming, arms raised above your head, looking behind you to ensure your escape.
Why?
Nobody can live up to somebody’s imagination.

Speak to me. Please.
Hello!
You only need one spayed cat, not three breeders.
Look after Deb first. Ban nightmares, mate.
I’ll do the same for me.
I already have one spayed cat, Beauty. After I get the other three spayed, I’ll work on getting them adopted. The timing was the unfortunate thing.

You’re the second person lately to recommend Vit D to me. Guess I’ll start taking some.

Matt? Are you the Matt who comments on this website? Should I add another one to the list?
Mainstream medicine is part of the machine that runs this world. Nuff said.

You’re hurting my brain. I may run away screaming yet
If your name is not Matt, then why did you quote the AI as calling you Matt. I request a straight, no-nonsense answer, please.
I guess I asked the impossible.
Deb, clarification. My name is Matt in the real world.
I have only ever used the name Moffin on electroverse.

80s to lo 90s here. Summer has been mostly mild…the last couple weeks felt a little more hot.
