I was reminded of your articles on the cold arctic summer when I watched this video. Maybe we are starting the cycle now and arctic summers will continue to be colder in the future.
An ice age does not begin in winter. It begins in summer. Ice buried Europe dozens of times and dozens of times it withdrew, and it did so with the precision of a clock. For a century nobody could explain who winds that clock: the planet’s beat matches the weakest of the three orbital cycles, and the arithmetic never added up. The answer arrived only in February 2025, and it was not the one anyone expected.

Cap, Any reporting on what impacts the fridge arctic is having on the migratory birds? With the cold one would think insects, which are many migratory birds main food source, are not able to survive in the freezing temps. Keeping baby birds from freezing would also be a challenge for all the bird species. Then again maybe the birds have begun to change their migratory patterns, staying further south.
No species of birds breed above 80 degrees North so the low temperatures aren’t a problem for them. Quite a few species breed north of 66.6 degrees, the arctic circle and averaged over the whole regions temperatures probably haven’t been particularly low. Hi Cap, will it still be possible for people who aren’t in the US to pay their subscription in whatever their local currency is so they don’t have to pay possible conversion fees?
Would it be possible to let people read 2 or 3 articles a month free of charge. This way it will be worth including links when commenting on other sites and maybe some of the people who read for free will enjoy the articles enough that they then take out a subscription.

My understanding is that Patreon allows members to pay in their local currency, even though Electroverse subscriptions are priced in dollars. Patreon should be charging me the conversion rate (a flat 2.5%).
As for part two of your message, I’m certainly up for attracting more readers.
‘Substack’ allows me to place a paywall wherever I want in the articles. I will get in contact with Patreon to see if they offer something similar. I often make 15%-or-so of the article readable on Substack, which has worked well for gaining new subs.

There is no price increase for existing subscribers until January, 2027.
New subscribers who subscribed on/after August 1, 2026 will already be paying the new rate.
From what I can see, you are paying ‘monthly’ at the old rate. So you will be paying the new rate from January, 2027.

I posted an article about the DC Democrat court defying a Congressional recission to resurrect federal/taxpayer payments for worthless green energy projects. Basically, Dem money laundering. It got lost.
