Earth is some 54 years beyond the publication of the Brown warning. If a significant lengthy cooling period is now underway, I submit that 54 years easily fits the “due very soon” warning, on a glacial period timescale.

The 54yrs duration is absolutely nothing in climate terms.
Earth is on course for another cold period. Don’t forget that Earth is more likely to be in a cold climate than a warm one. Science tells us so.

I think this is very interesting on the Brown University letter.Remember that in the 1970s we were told a ‘new ice age is coming’We were in a cooling period in the 60s and 70s anyway.We came out of that into a warmer 80s and 90s.All cyclical. BUT,this raises that Scientists knew about climate cycles and warned government about a new cold period coming.In other words the deep sea sedimentary layers told them something.This time Earth is heading back into another cold era.A ‘Double Peak’ has happened. A cooler 1970s then warmer 80s etc and then the drop into deeper cold to occur.Solar Hibernation.

Well done in finding this important letter to the political class.So they knew in the 1970s that there was no such thing as AGW-Manmade Global Warming.All a fraud and yet they still,in Western democracies, ‘shove it done our throats’ on this fraud.

Also in the 70s things began going awry. The world went off the Gold Standard, yielding a looser world, financially speaking. Concurrently came the weathering of the OPEC-led oil shock. The 80s brought a recovery led by central bank deficit spending where politicians realized they were free to spend spend spend.
Somewhere in this mix, such as Greenpeace, et al, gained a popular and fanatical following bent on “saving the Earth” from nasty ole oil and coal. Years ago I read that a UK university student wrote a paper back then contending CO2 was a climate-dangerous gas and thus, the current climate madness was born. I have no idea if the UK student story is true and played a role in establishing the modern climate industry.
But established it was, in a post-Gold Standard world controlled by free spending politicians coupled with eco-fanatics, with both bent on controlling humanity for their own reasons – and using energy as their weapon of choice, with CO2 as the agreed upon boogeyman.
Money was made. Power was gained. Unsuspecting citizens went along, most of them duped into believing, but a lot were enthusiastic eco-warriors as it gave them a raison d’être, a reason for being, becoming a faux religion.
In any event, decades passed, misery abounded while hundreds of dire predictions failed to bear out and the economies of whole nations were wrecked. People are having enough of less jobs, sky high utility bills and cold thermostats. The wheels are finally beginning to come off the seemingly unstoppable climate machine.
The timing, though late, is necessary, as Mother Nature is having her cyclical say now and she is speaking in a cool, perhaps a cold, voice.
The academic impetus for the Greenhouse Effect was from the Swede, Svante Arrhenius in 1896. He discovered the heat absorption of CO2 and its potential to warm the atmosphere. What he didn’t understand was the rate of oceanic absorption, nor the layered dynamics of the atmosphere.This was uncovered shortly afterwards by Knut Ångström.
This hasn’t stopped Arrhenius’s flawed studies to be used by the IPCC to underpin their entire CO2 catastrophist prophecies; taking every scientist who can be bought and paid for with them.

It,allegedly, started by Mrs Thatcher, Prime Minister of UK,was having severe trouble with the National Union of Mineworkers because of the strikes in the coal pits.So to combat this She asked for a ‘get out’ solution and was advised to use CO2 as the ‘bogeyman’ from the University of East Anglia.(climategate)So ,allegedly, the data was ‘conveniently used’ to allow the government to shut down pits thus bring down the NUM.The Leader was,allegedly, a Communist and was ,allegedly,given ‘assistance ‘ by USSR.That is how now the CO2 story goes.I do not believe Mrs Thatcher would have wanted it to go this far being a Capitalist.The de-industrialisation of the economy would be a red line in her book.
The political class,the leaders,are fully aware about the fraud,and it is a fraud not a hoax,about CO2 as Scientists know from their scientific field data studies.

Willis Eschenbach’s climate model is pretty much what school texts taught us, way back. Heat from warm regions flows toward cold regions, with such flow affected by local pressures and warm/cold spots with their own wind movements and by the rotation of the Earth.
Who knows what they teach today…

In the 60s in western New York it was cold but not too snowy. I remember snowflakes one night in late August. That changed to cold and snowy in February 1971 for another 10 years or so. There was a release of the Beaufort gyre that year and I wonder if that was the driver for the change. Were due for another release fairly soon and it may have started to some degree

The Beaufort Gyre has played a major role in the past on the North Atlantic. Has affected the AMOC. The last time the AMOC was shut down though was approx. 12,500 yrs ago.
Sooner or later that mass of cold water will be released into the North Atlantic. This will have a significant affect on the European climate.
I’d like to see some of that Antarctic cold you report spreading further north. In my far south of NSW part of Australia we are having the warmest start to June in a long time. The low average is half a degree above long term and the high average is 2.6 degrees higher.
It’s currently 15 degrees at 8.30 at night only five days from the winter solstice.
The weather is lovely, balmy nights and mid-20s days with clear skies and little wind. A fine summer’s day if I was in England. The problem is I have an orchard full of truffles which need frosts to get them ripened. Too much warmth and they will rot in the ground.
The long range ECMWF shows maybe at the end of next week. Here’s hoping.
Where I live, the Central Highlands of Arizona, we had spring since last fall with short incursions of winter during the winter season. I was able to plant my seeds in March and have been harvesting zucchini since late May. I love it. Two years prior spring didn’t arrive till mid-May. Amazing how the weather varies so much. Love it.
Your past winters have been affected by the Polar Front Jet Stream coming from Antarctica. Antarctica has been very cold over the past weeks.Sooner or later Australia and New Zealand will be hit again with cold.Just when ,not if,the Jet Stream ‘flips’ and sends that polar cold north.
