Why did the Nepal rock slide occur?

  • tectonic uplift
  • continuous seismic events
  • freeze-thaw in rock fractures
  • erosion

Regarding Nepal. Some informed BTL comments on the actual cause.

Semi informed!
The article does not clarify whether the sturzstrom fell into and collapsed a glacial lake or if it was merely a sturzstrom being a sturzstrom.

Muffin- you seem enamored of the word “sturzstrom”. Can’t blame you. It’s pretty descriptive and plays with the tongue as it rolls out.

…But the article does not mention the word sturzstrom. But with the bedrock beneath the glacier giving way, rhere may very well have been a sturzstrom. After all, they are fairly common in that neck of the woods. We even had one when Mt St Helens exploded. And in fact, they have occurred on various moons and planets in our solar system. Wonder why they didn’t mention it?

The word sturzstrom is most appropriate yet I have seen no reference to this in relation to the Nepal event.

I am currently developing a hypothesis on dementia, multiple sclerosis, parkinsons disease and schizophrenia.

These are all neurological problems and the commonality is the low seco-steroid misnamed as vitamin D which is at least a contributing factor.

For instance, your brother’s dementia. Search ‘vitamin D-dementia’ to find some scientific papers on this.

The structural damage is already done with these diseases but optimum blood level vitamin D can inhibit further regression. The optimum blood level Vitamin D level appears to be 100 nanomoles per liter.

I could rant for hours on this science and most people are silly enough to trust their doctor’s lack of knowledge.

Check out ‘multiple sclerosis-latitudinal studies’.

I mean latitudinal studies, not longitudinal studies. Oh, I could have mentioned auto immune diseases as well. At optimum vD levels it is unlikely one would ever suffer a cold or flu again and as optimum levels allow maturity of T cells and natural killer cells the chances of developing cancer are greatly reduced.

Like with climate , this science gets repressed. There is less profit in healthy people.

Feel free to ask me some hard questions on this.

Thank you for this information. I think I have a Dr’s appointment in Sept so I will request a test for vitD level, and for my brother as well. With winter coming on, it’s a good idea anyway.

I would love to ask you some hard questions, but im afraid it will have to wait. Tomorrow is a very busy day, then I must needs apply myself to getting three cats sterilized and adopted.

And surely the weather will break soon so I can start working outside again til winter. I would love to put my property up for sale next summer. I’m getting very sick and tired of living in the woods. It’s time for a change.

If you have any tips for boosting energy levels, I’d love to hear them!

Oh BTW, I found it much easier to pronounce sturzstrom after I put my teeth in! ♦️♥️🎣⛵️

A cuppla things, Deb.

Once a human reaches 55 years old, the human skin starts losing the oil that converts the Ultraviolet light to the precursors that become blood level vitamin D. Called ’25-Hydroxy Vitamin D’ or ‘Calcidiol 25-Hydroxycholecalciferol’ test. Supplements are necessary.

The medical fraternity recommends a level of 50 to 75 nmol/L whilst endocrinologists recommend 100 to 150 nmol/L. I suggest 100 nmol/L because for schizophrenia management once above 100 the prognoses begins to regress and regression begins again lower than 100.
It is a u shaped curve on a graph. Not a v shaped curve so near 100 is good enough.

There is a chance or likelihood your doctor will ask, ‘why do you want a vitamin D test?’

There is heaps more but that will do for now.

Deb, Deb. Deb. For energy.
Check out ‘optimizing mitochondria function’.

This here appears solid.

Interesting excerpt from that article: (It’s not in my head)

“Conversely, excessive heat stress can denature mitochondrial proteins and deplete ATP, triggering inflammatory pathways that exacerbate cellular dysfunction.”

And today I have to spend another day in it with feline interruptions to my sleep cycle every few hours last night. Not in a good mood. Temps over 90 for the next week. Enough already! It’s September for crying out loud!

Deb.
It is important to understand some other health issues such as soft tissue calcification and other plaques in the arteries.(artherosclerosis)
It is important to understand some of the interrelationships between differing vitamins etc.

Vitamin K2 is commonly suggested as reversing soft tissue calcification and sending that calcium into the bones. The other thing important for reversing arterial plaque is Mediterranean Diet type nutrients such as the polyphenols found in blueberries and other reds and the other veggies any dietician would recommend.
I have to mention this because optimizing vitamin D levels means there will be more calcium floating around and that calcium needs to end up in the bones, not the soft tissues.

Plaque in blood vessels and arteries leads to the biggest killer, strokes, heart attacks.

OK then.

I am currently taking serrapeptase/nattokinase to remove plaque from walls of blood vessels. I might get some K2/D to take when that runs out. I like to switch out my supplements for financial reasons but also because I don’t think it’s a good idea to take anything too long. Everything has a downside, and I like to give my body a chance to recover from those. Anyway, I’m just like that. I don’t consider predictability a virtue.

Right now I am sitting up at 4am eating breakfast because the cats woke me up. Their reward is to watch me eat a ham sandwich without being offered any. I’m going to feed them on the porch this morning at first light and nip back in and close the door on them! They can use some fresh air and I need the peace! I’m getting too old for this!

I think it’s being triggered by a form of biological energy. But I’m no physicist. Don’t know if that’s possible.

Such an immediate and horrible occurrence. One never knows what the next hour might bring. People going through a routine day, then wham! A wall of water and sludge wiping out all in its path.
