If EL NINO is coming it had better hurry up. May 12 woke up to 27F (-2.7C) and it has now been 46 days where the temperature has been between 10 and 20 degrees below normal. On April 18 in Upstate New York, USA the low temperature hit 18F (-7.7C) freezing anything already out.
Here in Metcalfe County KY we got down to 47F. Normal is high 50s to low 60s at night.

Looks like I will have a couple more days of relatively cooler than normal, then some heat will begin building in N Alabama. Friday-Monday 83 88 88 91 night 63-69
Since I posted a few hours, those posted highs have come down one or two degrees. Moving targets..

Puts me in mind of old Guy Sharpe, weatherman for 11 Alive News, Atlanta, years ago. Guy’s summer highs were always a couple degrees hotter than the other stations…and a couple degrees colder for the winter lows.
