I’m far from convinced the British government will approve the Jackdaw and Rosebank projects. The new minister for energy security and net zero, obviously the correct term would be energy insecurity, is as much of a green zealot as her predecessor. Approving the projects would be popular with people who are unlikely to vote Labour but unpopular with a lot of Labour voters who could well switch to the Green Party so overall it would be a vote looser for Labour.
