The warming effect of CO2 is not logarithmic. It is a polynomial. It is not logarithmic because a logarithm does not pass through zero. Zero is a valid point. We are working on a paper that explains this.
The logarithm goes from minus infinity to plus infinity.

Thank you, Douglas. I take the point that a simple logarithmic expression should not be treated as a complete physical model from zero CO2 upward.
I did use the word logarithmic, but in the standard marginal sense: the direct effect of added CO2 diminishes as concentration rises.

You’ll never convince The Telegraph, to name one, that an increase from 400ppm to 450ppm is a small percentage change, with an even smaller still warming effect. They would take that 50 and run with it.
Once the main absorption band for carbon dioxide is fully saturated adding more to the atmosphere has no effect, other than being beneficial plant food. There’s disagreement among consensus sceptic scientists about the concentration in ppm when addition amounts stop having any warming effect but it could be as low as 450-500ppm.
A video clip floating around depicted an eruption of Piton de la Fournaise, an active shield volcano on Reunion Island. Not a huge eruption; what was interesting was it was not spewing from the cone, but the flow had punctured through part way up the side of the mountain.
