Cloud cover appears to be decreasing over the last few decades. Components of cosmic rays are responsible for cloud seeding. The Sun’s magnetosphere has been generally weakening and is heading lower in conjunction with the next Grand Solar Minimum. The weakening magnetosphere should be allowing more cosmic rays and therefore more cloud seeding. What is the driver for the decreasing level of clouds?
My N Alabama location is finally forecasting low to mid-90sF highs on the 7-day forecast. And a bit less rain will be nice. Up until now, I’ve generally been running below normal.
I know…I will be looking for some rain in a few weeks, likely.
I don’t know where that cold surge into Australi is going. Here in the Far South of NSW we had only our first (mild) frost of the winter today. Hardly what we should be getting.
